A  Meeting  of Aberhafesp Community Council was held in August 2014

at the Community Centre.

 

Report Received 27/08/2014:

 

At a recent meeting of the Council a warm welcome was extended to Mr Richard Jones (Wernddu), as the new member of the Council in place of Mr Humphrey Davies, by the Chairman Councillor Alun Pryce.

 

The annual audit was completed and the necessary form signed by the Chairman and returned to the Official Auditor.

 

A payment, as a donation, of £575 was made to the Community Centre Association – two such payments being made annually.

 

The Aberhafesp website is now available and Mr Philip Curnow addressed the meeting with an up-date of progress. Due to there being no response for somebody to continue with the publication of the Newsletter this has now been closed and all monies remaining donated to the Community Council for future use. Concern was expressed that some members of the parish would be unable to download items from the website, but it is hope a solution will be forthcoming in the next few weeks. In future all adverts, news items etc will be on the Aberhafesp website (Aberhafesp.com). It is hoped that somebody will come forward to provide a Welsh translation. The meeting expressed the appreciation of the district for the work undertaken by Mr Edward Parry and Mr Eric Franklin for the great deal of effort put into the Newsletter.

 

The present position regarding the broadband issues in the area was also noted.
