A  Meeting of Aberhafesp Community Council was held on Wednesday

17th June 2015 at the Community Centre.

A welcome was extended to all present by the Chairman including three residents of the Parish.

The meeting discussed at some great length the forth coming meeting in Welshpool over the access to Birch-y-Bank.  Meeting agreed for Chairman to represent this Council at said meeting.

Planning: The plans and relevant paperwork  for the conversion from former Aberhafesp primary school to residential dwelling were discussed and meeting decided that they had no real objections with the plans as presented.

Legislation to publish electronically Community Council issues as required by the Welsh Government. The clerk stated that she did not feel capable to arrange such a scheme as her knowledge of computers is extremely limited.  Mr Philip Curnow who set up the Aberhafesp website attended the meeting and has offered to look into this item further and direct the council accordingly.  Both the Chairman and Clerk expressed sincere thanks to Mr Curnow.

Highways: The problem with speeding through the village of Aberhafesp is again causing great concern.  Meeting decided in the first instance to request the re-placing of the ‘speed indicator devices’ as it is two years since they were removed.  Other issues with potholes, etc. were also noted.

All meetings are open for members of the Parish to attend -if anyone has an item they would like the Council to consider please contact a Councillor or the clerk on 01686 688638 or maeshydref18 @ outlook.com
