A Meeting of Aberhafesp Community Council was held on Wednesday
11th March 2015 at the Community Centre.
Welcome was extended to all present including County Cnllr.Mrs Joy Shearer.
Matters arising from previous meetings:
Road improvements near Melin-y-gloch still in progress with diversions in place at various times.
Birchybank - still under review with amended planning application access still causing concern - no further action at this time by this Council.
Clerk and Councillor Glyn Jones had attended a meeting arranged by Newtown Town Council to discuss the possibility of Town and Community councils in this area 'taking over' various facilities at present the responsibility of Powys County Council - e.g. public toilets, not every Council was represented - we await further information.
A list of potholes causing problems in the parish has been sent to highways department for attention.
A planning application - conversion of barn to 'holiday let' at Hill Farm ,Bwlchyffridd was discussed. Cnllr.Brian Davies declared an interest and left the meeting- no objection to this application.
