A  Meeting  of Aberhafesp Community Council was held on Wednesday

9th December 2015 at the Community Centre.

 

 

Present: — Councillor Alun Pryce(Chairman), Councillor  Nigel Hamer (Vice Chairman) Councillors B. Davies, J. Nutting, G. Jones, J. Hopkins and R. Jones

 

I. A welcome was extended to all present by the Chairman  - Councillor Alun Pryce.

 

2. There were no apologies.

 

3. Minutes of previous meeting were sent to each Councillor prior to the meeting. Proposed by  Councillor Nigel Hamer and seconded by Councillor John Nutting — minutes to be adopted — all agreed, Chairman signed accordingly.

 

4. Matters arising: Telephone box at Blackwell — Clerk had been in contact with B. T. who have agreed to repair and refurbish the said telephone box back to a suitable facility.

Seeds — Clerk had applied for the free seeds available to Councils for the Countryside — will be available in the Spring.

Both the Clerk and County Councillor Mrs. Joy Shearer had approached the Highways Department over the recent accident on the Aberhafesp — Caersws road.  Highways dept. will look into the general condition of the road etc. in that area.

The Clerk had been in contact with Mr.Philip Curnow regarding the necessary photographs needed of each Councillor. Provisional date set for 20 January 2016. Councillors had also provided the information required by the Welsh Office, which will be kept on file.

 

5. Precept: The meeting discussed at some length the present balance in the bank of this Council and the Clerk gave a 'breakdown' of future payments. Proposed by Councillor Glyn Jones and seconded by Councillor Brian Davies precept for next financial year remain at £3500. All agreed.

 

6. Appeals: British Red Cross, Bobath, Air ambulance (new building for South Wales ambulance): No action.

 

7. A. O. B:  Powys County Council planning department— as from 1st January 2016 correspondence will be done electronically.

Planning: Electricity lines — Tynycelyn, Bwlchyffridd, clerk to make further enquiries.

A cheque has been received for £2.25 payment for the paperbank.

 

There being no other business Chairman closed meeting at 8:25
