A  Meeting  of Aberhafesp Community Council was held on Wednesday

6th July 2016 at the Community Centre.

 

Present - Councillor Alun Pryce chairman), Councillor Nigel Hamer (Vice Chairman), Councillors Brain Davies, Glyn Jones, John Nutting.

1. A welcome was extended to all present by the Chairman.

 

2. Apologies - Councillor Jeffrey Hopkins, County Councillor Mrs Joy Shearer.

 

3. Minutes of previous meeting - each Councillor had received a copy of the minutes prior to the meeting.

Proposed by Councillor Nigel Hamer and seconded by Councillor Glyn Jones minutes correct and duly adopted - all agreed Chairman signed accordingly.

 

4. Matters arising - Highways - manhole covers near Woodlands still not replaced - clerk to approach highways department over this issue.

Outline planning for 10 properties behind Beechcroft - plans amended to include outdoor recreational space(as per the requirements of Powys UDP). Field access for maintenance of septic tank etc. Items concerning footpaths.

 

5. Planning - erection of rural enterprise dwelling, detached garage and foul treatment plant near Green Acres, Bwlchyffridd - meting discussed this application - no objections.

 

6. Other issues - clerk has been notified of road closures in August - P.C.C. will notify residents nearer the time.

Request from Aberhafesp Community Assoc.for residents to attend the forth coming A.G.M.14th July @7p.m.

The meeting expressed great concern over the lack of grass cutting by P.C.C. - clerk to contact highways.

Although not in Aberhafesp Parish concern was expressed over the fact that yet again an accident had recently occurred on the B4568 where a fatality had previously taken place - this problem had been investigated by the highways department after this Council had made an official enquiry - clerk to look up previous paperwork and then contact highways again.

Clerk gave Councillor Nigel Hamer a copy of an advert for Defibrillators included in some recent correspondence she had received.

 

There being no further business Chairman closed meeting at 7.55.
