A Meeting of Aberhafesp Community Council was held on Wednesday
4th October 2017 at the Community Centre.
Present — Councillor Nigel Hamer (Chairman), Councillors - Jeffrey Hopkins, Alun Pryce and Graham Green, County Councillor Mrs. Heulwen Hulme. Also present - Mrs A Griffiths and Mr R. Amy.

1] A welcome was extended to all present by the Chairman.
2] Apologies - Councillor Brian Davies
3] Minutes - each Councillor had received a copy of minutes of previous meeting in advance. Proposed by Councillor Alun Pryce and seconded by Councillor Graham Green minutes be accepted - all agreed - Chairman signed accordingly.
4] Matters arising - Insurance: details from new supplier - further information nearer time of renewal of insurance. Planning results: Glan Llyn, Lawnswood, Lodge- all passed In favour. New notice board in Bwlch-y-ffridd: clerk had already written to Cnllr.Green on behalf of the Parish with thanks for his work. Audit: the audit is now complete and displayed on notice board in the Centre for the public to see. Land in Bwlch-y-ffridd: valuations have been received from two estate agents -meeting discussed this item including the fact that one of the agents had invoiced this Council for their services. This item will of course be an 'on going' issue as there are many things to be considered both practical and financial.
5] Planning - dwelling- land adjoining Lynwood - vehicular access, detached garage: meeting discussed this application including comments from members of the Parish - proposed by Councillor Alun Pryce, seconded by Councillor Jeffrey Hopkins planning to be accepted - all agreed. Rectory: reserved matters - vehicular access road including alterations to existing access, installation of sewerage treatment plant - meeting discussed this item at some length due mainly to the request for the sewerage plant. Meeting not in favour of the said plant especially with the sewerage scheme in use in the village, - Hillcrest are connected and the area around the Hall available if the residents so wish. Proposed by Councillor Hopkins and seconded by Councillor Alun Pryce this application be passed but planning department be informed this council not in favour of sewerage plant. - all agreed.
6 ] Appeal - Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution - no action.
7 ] Other items - Mrs Joy Shearer has been appointed to Standards Committee - congratulations. Community magazine(advert) - Chairman to present at Centre Committee. P.C.C.: no further payments by cheque. LDP - C. C. Mrs Hulme gave a brief report on this issue and will look into item especially regarding planning. Village Green: planners to discuss at meeting on 5th October - possible site visit. Speeding: still no training by police - New Mills had tried a similar scheme - 90% over speed limit.
There being no further business Chairman closed meeting at 8.20.
