The AGM of Aberhafesp Community Council was held on Wednesday
4th May 2016 at the Community Centre.
The Chairman Councillor Alun Pryce extended a welcome to all the members of the Council and to Mrs Joy Shearer County Councillor
The chairman then gave a report of the activities of the council over the last 12 months and thanked all for their attendance and help during the last year and to the clerk for her contribution.
The clerk then also expressed her sincere thanks to all the members of the council and the Chairman who had supported her through all the year and to Mrs Joy Shearer for her knowledge and guidance over some of the difficult issues discussed. The clerk then continued with the financial report - each Councillor received a copy of the financial report which was accepted by the meeting and Chairman signed accordingly.
Clerk conducted the election of Officers - Chairman - Councillor Alun Pryce and Vice Chairman Councillor Nigel Hamer re-elected.
Minutes of previous meeting adopted - matters arising -planning results - chicken shed at Cwm -consent. Appeal Birchybank - refused.
Clerk had reported condition of road B4568 ( x roads) above Caersws although not in Aberhafesp Parish - some work has now been undertaken.
Planning -extension to 2 Minhafren and conversion of former school to dwelling - no objections.
A cheque for £100 was donated to the Queens 90th birthday celebrations by the Council and a medal that the clerk had received be donated as a prize.
Highway issues were discussed-clerk to report accordingly.
The clerk was requested to leave the meeting so that the Councillors could discuss her salary-meeting agreed to increase the salary by £200 Clerk thanked the meeting and stated she hoped to continue for the next 12 months -health permitting.
