A resident of Bwlch-y-ffridd has raised concern regarding the residents of Tan-y-bwlch parking on the roadside so making it very difficult for large vehicles to pass, this causes the larger traffic to move onto the verge so soil etc. is transferred onto the road. It was pointed out that when those houses were built families only had one or two cars which nowadays is probably three or four! County Councillor Mrs Hulme to approach highways department over this issue. Other highways issues - potholes (Cefn Lane) and lack of salt - Councillor Hulme will make the necessary inquiries.

As it was likely to be my last meeting as Clerk the Council had very kindly arranged for former Councillors and County Councillors and others to attend for a 'cup of tea' etc. I was very touched by this and for once nearly speechless - I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who spoke for their very kind words and for the cards, lovely flowers and the fantastic gift of travel vouchers and finally thank all the Councillors past and present and others for making my 40 years as clerk to this Council so special. My best wishes to you all and to my successor.
Best wishes Jean.
